Bio
Born and raised in the Columbia Basin, near Connell, WA. Began studying audio production and computer science in 1995. Owned a successful mobile DJ business from 1998-2002. In 2000, Bevon served as project director for No Samples Cleared: The Mixtape and produced early rap albums for Sebastian Select, Vonell, and J-Factor. At the end of 2001, as a Lotus member, Bevon was instrumental in the release and marketing of Bossalaus: Mark of the Lotus, a project that led him and production partner Sebastian Select to architecturally lay out a plan of action for Lotus. Overseeing creative conferences with his team until 2004, Bevon introduced himself to web development and vigorously assembled the foundation of the Lotus network. During the summer of 2005, shortly after meeting his future wife, he toured with the Seattle Cascades as a cook for the 200 member road show. After meeting and incorporating with Alex Saenz in 2006, Bevon turned his focus to projects that had been on hold for the past few years. With much of 2007 dedicated to the construction of Majestic Soundlab, it allowed for the already notable web presence to flourish under a better educated deployment. Bevon focused on personal projects for the better part of 2008 until announcing Mighty Mixtape: Tri-Cities, WA Hip-Hop, a project intended to unite the willing amongst the local hip-hop scene and set the tone for the 2009-2010 release schedule.
Profile
To outsiders, Bevon may appear to project an aura of "definiteness", of self-confidence. This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge systems that Bevon started building at an early age. When it comes to areas of expertise, Bevon has several -- he will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not he can help you, and if so, how. Bevon knows what he knows, and perhaps still more importantly, he knows what you don't know.
Bevon is a perfectionist, with a seemingly endless capacity for improving upon anything that takes his interest. What prevents him from becoming chronically bogged down in this pursuit of perfection is the pragmatism so characteristic of his type: he applies the criterion "Does it work?" to everything from his own research efforts to the prevailing social norms. This in turn produces an unusual independence of mind, freeing Bevon from the constraints of authority, convention, or sentiment for his own sake.
Bevon does not readily grasp the social rituals; for instance, he tends to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk and flirtation. Bevon is an extremely private person, and can be naturally impassive as well, which makes him easy to misread and misunderstand.
An obvious member of the social partition commonly referred to as masterminds, Bevon's type is rare, comprising no more than 1% of the population.
